Set aside some time for improving your groundwork on Saturday June 14th. These are three hours that can make a huge difference in your ground game. Register online now!
DC Judo will host a special event dedicated to just newaza/groundwork techniques from 9:30AM to 1PM at the Edgewood Arts Center 3415 8th St NE Washington DC.
Christy Thomas will share her ground game secrets of creating openings, transitions, escapes, reversals, and finishing with a choke or armlock. Christy comes prepared to share a lot of technical information in a short time. Eat your Wheaties before you show up! Christy is the one and only female Relson Gracie black belt. She runs Relson Gracie Jujitsu Academy Austin which delivers groundwork excellence for both judoka and jujitsu players.
We’ll work on competition techniques (although we are trying to get her back to teach a self defense workshop!) but you don’t need to be a competitor to attend. The intensive is open to male and female students ages 12 years and up at all ability levels. Women competing in Capital Grapple the next day get a reduced price.
Come join us for a day of learning and practicing together. Register online now!
